GREAT Harwood Prospects Panel will host a seven-mile Read Ramble on June 21.
A spokesman said: "On the solstice, the sun does not rise precisely in the east, but rises to the north of east and sets to the north of west, meaning it is visible in the sky for a longer period of time.
The walk will feature local history and landmarks, the River Calder, industrial and railway history, two woodlands and is a nature and photography walk."
Booking for the Summer Solstice ramble, which kicks-off at 12.30pm, is essential via Barbara Sharples on 07599 106670.
