THE first train in 37 years to run from Colne to Skipton is fully booked.
Supporters of the Skipton East Lancashire Rail Partnership, (Selrap) will be getting on board on Sunday for a journey into Yorkshire which will take more than two and a half hours and go 50 miles out of its way, via Blackburn.
Selrap officials hope the day trip will help show the high level of support for the reopening of the 11.8 mile stretch of track between the two towns, which was closed in 1970.
The specially-chartered 300-seat train will set off from Colne at 10.40am.
