STUDENTS in Hyndburn are being offered funding from 550 members of the Accrington Grammar School Old Boys Association.
The group has appealed for secondary school pupils to get in contact with the group so its members can offer financial help to assist those who may wish to improve their foreign language skills.
MORE TOP STORIES:
The association’s president, Geoff Lund, is a retired languages teacher and proposed a scheme which falls into the group’s ethos of ‘putting something back’.
Applicants should write or e-mail Mr Lund before the end of the month, setting out how they propose to spend the bursary.
They should also name a teacher at their school who can be contacted by the association to discuss the application.
