A shoplifter who stole a haul of cider from a Spar shop was later found hiding in a loft.
Burnley magistrates heard how Haroon Mohammed, 22, struggled with officers who tried to get him down when they went to his home.
The defendant, of Napier Street, Nelson, admitted theft to the value of £19.95 and resisting police.
His case was adjourned, after it was revealed he was the subject of a 60-day jail term, suspended for 12 months.
