A 33-year-old Accrington man has appeared in court charged with burglary at the home of an 83-year-old Darwen woman.
Brett Duxbury, of Spring Street, is alleged to have demanded money off the woman in return for work he claimed he had done.
Neil White, prosecuting, applied for him to be remanded to police custody so officers could investigate other similar offences, including one in Accrington.
