A BOWLS club has been given over £2,000 to help improve its facilities.
The Peel Park Bowling Club, in Avenue Parade, Accrington, has been given £2,395 by the Peel and Barnfield area council.
The money will be used to improve the toilets and ground facilities of the club.
Coun Graham Jones, Peel ward, said: "We want these facilities to be attractive not only to local bowlers but also to visiting teams."
A further £6,500 has also been made available to improve drainage and access to the adjoining Coppice area.
