A Haverfordwest woman appeared in court on Friday accused of sending threatening letters to herself.
Glesni Phillips, aged 19, faces a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Swansea crown court heard that as a result of a complaint an innocent woman was arrested and spent a night in custody.
Phillips, of Vawers Close, was not asked to enter a plea at this stage. She was told to attend a plea and case management hearing on June 19.
Phillips was granted bail meanwhile.
