SEVERAL roads will be closed for Darwen's St George's Day Parade.
The event will take place on Sunday April 26 from 3pm for around an hour.
Blackburn with Darwen council has made an order to close five streets for the event, details of which are being finalised.
Duckworth Street will be closed from Bury Street to Market Street.
Market Street will be shut from Duckworth Street to Croft Street.
Croft Street will be closed from Duckworth Street to Parliament Street.
Parliament Street will be sealed off from Croft Street to Church Street.
Church Street will be shut from Parliament Street to St Peter's Church.
Darwen Town Council deputy chairman and Sunnyhurst ward Labour councillor Pete Hollings said: "It's going to be a really good events.
"We're just finalising the details.
"There are going to be lots of attractions including minstrels.
"It will be a really special day of celebration."
The borough council has also agreed the closure of Cotton Hall Street in Darwen from its junction with Frederick Street for 95 metres in a North Easterly direction from Monday April 27.
This is to allow Network Rail to replace a bridge over the highway.
The work is expected to be completed by Sunday July 26.
Diversions will be put in place.
