A MAN has admitted stealing 21 jumpers and three Meccano box sets during a shoplifting spree.
David Wain, 52, of Waterbarn Street, Burnley, was spotted taking the jumpers from Peacocks, in Elephant Yard, Kendal, on December 2 last year.

Wain pleaded guilty at South Cumbria Magistrates Court to three counts of theft, including jumpers worth £260 from Peacocks, three Meccano sets worth of £29.97 from The Works, on Finkle Street, and toiletries worth £29.95 from Bodycare on Stricklandgate in the town.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
