RETIRED British police murder squad detective and author Trevor Marriott will unravel some of the world’s biggest mysteries during an appearance at Darwen Library Theatre.
Since retiring, Mr Marriott has launched a career as a best-selling author and lecturer, having begun a cold case investigation on the Jack the Ripper and the 1888 Whitechapel murders.

And this year, he has begun a ‘Myths and Mysteries’ tour of the UK, which stops off at the Knott Street theatre on Thursday, March 19.
Mr Marriott said: “Throughout my long and protracted career I have investigated and solved many crime mysteries.
“In recent years I have investigated some of the myths and mysteries that have fascinated and intrigued the general public for decades.
“These include the Bermuda Triangle, the Lost City of Atlantis, the Mary Celeste, the UFO phenomenon, the Flying Dutchman, the Apollo 11 moon landing, the Yeti, mermaids, Lord Lucan, sea monsters and spontaneous human combustion, as well as the real truth behind psychics and, mediums, clairvoyants and faith healers.
