A BURGLAR whose haul included a credit card was caught on CCTV when he tried to use it to obtain cash from a machine, Blackburn magistrates heard.
Paul James Gilpin was arrested and went on to admit another nine house burglaries which he had committed over the previous 12 months.
Gilpin, 31, of Tithebarn Street, Darwen, admitted burgling a house in Lawley Road and straling a laptop computer, wallet, cash and credit cards together worth £1,137.
He was committed in custody to Preston Crown Court for sentence.
Neil White, prosecuting, said the offences to be taken into consideration showed the burglary was not a one-off offence.
"He has been carrying out similar offences on a regular basis," said Mr White.
"On a number of occasions he has taken credit cards and then used them to withdraw cash, and you may think this aggravates the offences."
Daniel King, defending, said the police had no evidence to link Gilpin with the other offences but he told them exactly what he had done over the previous 12 months.
