So far, 21 acts have been announced for the event near Sawley, with a further 200 set to be revealed in coming months.

Early bird and tier two tickets have sold out in record time according to organisers with a tenth sell-out year in a row expected by the time the first band plays on July 17.

Co-founder Nick Chambers said: “Basement Jaxx is a booking that we have wanted for a long time and it’s great that we have them for our tenth anniversary.

“It has been a long time in the making and it should be a great set.

“The response to the festival has been fantastic over the years and and grown through word of mouth and the internet.

“It’s the people that come that makes Beat-Herder what it is and a family has been created as a result.

“It gives people the chance to take a break from the world and enjoy high-quality music and everything that comes with the festival experience.

“A team of six people work on the festival throughout the year but when it comes to the event itself we have round 2,500 volunteers to help out.

“The festival has been growing and growing every year and this year will have such a buzz around it because of the anniversary.”

This year Beat-Herder was crowned winner of the Extra Festival Activity Award at the UK Festival Awards, this recognises events that offer that extra bit of which creates an unforgettable festival experience.

Other acts that have been announced include Paul Woolford, Andrew Weatherall, Vanilla ACE and The Lancashire Hotpots.

In 2014 Badly Drawn Boy performed as well as Mr Scruff and Goldie Lookin Chain.

Ribble Valley Borough Council leader Cllr Stuart Hirst said: “It’s a fantastic festival and my son Rob played last year with his band Urban Empire.

“It’s great for the economy and it’s very popular every single year.

“I would congratulate them on running the festival so successfully over the last 10 years.”
