TWO Burnley students will have a Valentine’s Day to remember this year thanks to Canterbury and England Rugby.

Bram Richmond from Blessed Trinity RC college and 12-year-old Morgan Williams from Unity College will appear on the pitch before kick-off at the RBS 6 Nations England v Italy match at Twickenham on Saturday.

MORE TOP STORIES:

Bram and Morgan have been chosen to represent their individual schools at Twickenham as part of the All Schools programme, an England Rugby initiative to get more state secondary schools playing rugby.

They will each be wearing a bespoke rugby shirt specially designed by pupils from their respective schools at a Canterbury Kit Design workshop held last year.

Each year, 100 state secondary schools are invited to take part in the programme, during which they are given an opportunity to attend one of a number of Kit Design workshops with the designers from Canterbury.

Both students attended the workshop at Burnley RFC, where all the pupils enjoyed an interactive session on the history of the rugby shirt and its practicalities of design, before being given free rein to create a shirt in which their school rugby team will play.
