Blackburn mum charged with neglecting three-year-old son
A 22-YEAR-OLD woman has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with neglecting her three-year-old son.
Blackburn magistrates heard that police were alerted after neighbours saw a man climbing a drainpipe to enter a house and they found him in bed with Samantha Jane Rhodes.

Her three-year-old son was found downstairs where there was a half-empty bottle of vodka on the table. Rhodes was allegedly so drunk she didn’t know there was anyone in bed with her.
Rhodes, of Queen Victoria Street, Blackburn, pleaded not guilty to child neglect. She was remanded on bail until January 12.
