A JEALOUS dad-of-four who trashed his estranged wife’s home in “one day of complete madness” has been jailed for nine months.

Burnley Crown Court was told how Adnan Choudhary, 30, had ransacked the kitchen of Brierfield property as well as another room and also smashed a car windscreen when a baby was in the vehicle. He was said to have sat and sobbed after his outburst, because of what he felt he had been reduced to.

Choudhary, who has never been in trouble before, was said to have forced his way into the house on Holden Road and caused the damage in a fit of frustration and rage.

The defendant, of Shear Brow, Blackburn, had admitted burglary with intent to cause damage and criminal damage on September 9 and had been committed for sentence by Pennine magistrates.

He was also given a restraining order, banning him from contacting victim Mobeen Akram and from going to Holden Road.
