A maintenance engineer has been banned from driving for 17 months after being caught almost twice the limit.
Lee Wilkinson, 23, of Manchester Road, Barnoldswick, admitted driving with excess alcohol on Skipton Road, Colne, on August 29.
Burnley magistrates heard he gave a test showing 60 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
The defendant was fined £300, with £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
His solicitor Glen Smith told the court Wilkinson had shown remorse and had a “realisation of the damage and the effects it's had on his potential working life.”
