PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson has a busy few days in the constituency next week following the break-up of the House of Commons for summer.
On Monday he starts with a commemoration of the centenary of the start of the First World War at St Mary-le-Ghyll Church, Barnoldswick, before addressing Pendle Seniors Group annual meeting in the Wilson Room at Nelson Town Hall.
Then he has two more ‘Great War’ commemorations at All Saints Church in Earby, and with the Pendle Seniors Group at the Cenotaph in Brierfield.
On Tuesday he will spend the day with the RSPCA dog inspector in his constituency.
On Wednesday the Tory backbencher will open the Twenty Four Estates Ltd refurbished shop on Gisburn Road, Barrowford, before visiting REM Salon Design and Furnishing at Glenfield Mill, Nelson.
He finishes the afternoon at fabric manufacturers R Soper at Crownest Mill, Skipton Road, Barnoldswick.
On Thursday Mr Stephenson will shadow food counter staff at Sainsbury’s store on Windy Bank, Colne, and on Friday he meets Steve Winterson, engagement director at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, before attending the opening of Boothman Park, Barley New Road, Barley, with former Pendle MP Lord Lee.
In the afternoon he is at the Superfast Lancashire Business Support Centre in Leyland. He ends the week on the Sunday with a visit to the Trawden Agricultural Show in his capacity as a Vice President of the event.
