FIRE crews were called to a care home in Haslingden by a ‘concerned staff member’ after a small fire at the back of a fridge.
Two fire engines attended Haslingden Hall Care Home, in Lancaster Avenue, at around 11.20am on Saturday.
A fire service spokesman said: “It was a very small fire at the back of a fridge in a resident’s room.
“We received the call from a concerned staff member but when we arrived the fire had already been put out.
“The incident didn’t require an evacuation at the home.”
