SEVEN members of a Maasai tribe from Kenya visited friends at Pendle schools.

The group were visiting Pendle Vale College and Pendle Community High School for the second time.

They dressed in their colourful traditional ceremonial costumes and thrilled their audiences.

We are left wanting to know what the Maasai did to so thrill their audiences. Did they teach mathematics? Read poetry? Surely not dance, play talking drums or make fire by rubbing sticks, for that would pandering to the stereotype.
