PEOPLE living in Cliviger and Worsthorne are more likely to be married than those living anywhere else in Burnley.

Just 23 per cent of people living in the area who are aged over 16 have never been married, which is well below the national average of 35 per cent.

The place where people are least likely to be married is in Trinity ward, where 46 per cent of people were single, according to the most recent census data.

In Pendle, people in Higham and Pendleside, and Blacko and Higherford were least likely to be singletons, with just 21 per cent having never married.

Those in Waterside, Colne were least likely to be married, where 40 per cent of people had never married.

In Rossendale, those living in Worsley were most likely to be single, where 37 per cent of people were unmarried.

The place with the least number of singletons was Helmshore, where only 26 per cent of people had never married.
