CONSTRUCTION students at the University Centre at Blackburn College (UCBC) have won a Chartered Institute of Building North West Student Challenge.
Their task was to design a cost-effective way to build six blocks of flats.
The HNC Construction students from UCBC then came second in the other challenge, a feasibility study to advise a client on options to develop a listed building.
UCBC team members Gareth Thornton, Craig Bennett, Daniel Sutcliffe and Anthony Van Eijsden came up against teams from UCLAN, LJMU, Salford University and Bolton University.
Course leader James Summerfield said: . “They deserve congratulations for a strong effort.”
