A BLACKBURN councillor has backed the Royal Mail’s decision to suspend postal deliveries to a whole street after a post man was bitten by a dog.
Shadsworth and Whitebirk councillor Jim Shorrock said: “Considering that Blackburn has just been in the news after a very serious dog attack, I think that everything possible should be done to ensure that people are safe on the streets and that dangerous dogs are not allowed to be kept “Dangerous dogs are a real problem and the post office has a duty to protect its workers.”
