POLICE have released CCTV after a robbery in Ramsbottom.

Two masked men went into Bargain Booze on Bolton Road West at around 7.20pm on January 12.

They threatened staff and demanded money. One of the men hit a member of staff on the head with what was believed to be a handgun before taking cash from the till.

Both men left in the direction of Ramsbottom town centre.

One of the men is described as being possibly in his early 20s, around 6ft tall and slim.

He was wearing a white 'V for Vendetta' mask, a black tracksuit jacket with hood up, light blue jeans with scuff marks and grey or blue deck shoes with white laces.

The other man is described as slim and was wearing a dark grey Adidas hooded top, white and grey jogging bottoms and black trainers.

Police have now released CCTV footage of the incident and continue to appeal for information and witnesses.

Detective Constable Dave Looby said: "Our investigation into this robbery is continuing and we are now in a position to release the CCTV of the incident. We are urging anyone who knows anything about the incident or who may be involved to get in touch with police and tell us what you know."
