A DRIVER escaped injury when a car flipped onto its roof on the Whitebirk roundabout in Blackburn.

Police and ambulance crews were called shortly before 9pm yesterday after two cars collided.

A convertible landed on its roof but a spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said no-one was taken to hospital.

An eye-witness saw an ambulance and a paramedic car at the scene, along with a police car, a police van and around 10 officers.

She said two men were giving statements to the police.
