APPLICATIONS for this year’s Ribble Valley 10k, which will take place in December, are now open.
The annual race, which is organised by the Blackburn Harriers, will be held on Sunday, December 29.
In 2011, the race saw future Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee beaten by Jonny Mellor.
The harriers have organised the race for the past 13 years.
The race has a limit of 1,500 people and in 2012, 1,400 people took part.
Organisers say that they expect at least that many people to run this year.
Anybody who is interested in signing up for the race can download an application form from www.ribblevalley10k.com For more information about the event call George Davies on 07751679013.
