IF your son enjoys singing, joining Blackburn Cathedral Choir can offer musical and educational opportunities second to none, according to Samuel Hudson, the cathedral director of music.
And there is now an opportunity for boys aged seven up to become a chorister. Mr Hudson is looking to recruit new boys by holding open rehearsals starting tomorrow from 9am to 10am.
Mr Hudson said: “As well as being a lot of fun, choristers have the chance to learn skills which can lead to success at every stage in life, as well as forge life-long friendships.
“Furthermore, membership of the choir is free – in fact, choristers receive choir pay in return for their singing.”
