A POST Office in Helmshore is set to move to Haslingden and double its opening hours.
The centre at The Parade will move 350 metres to the Select and Save at 9-11 Broadway Crescent.
When the Post Office changes premises, it will be open for 108 hours per week, serving customers from 6.30am to 10pm from Monday to Saturday and from 7am to 10pm on Sundays.
The Haslingden branch will have newly refurbished and modern premises.
Adrian Wales, Post Office regional network manager for Central England, said: “We understand how important Post Office services are for people in Haslingden.
“We are confident that this new modern Post Office will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.
“The modernisation is part of a major investment programme to convert the Post Office network to new style branches. This investment, the largest in the history of the Post Office, marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
