A COLLEGE is teaming up with a brewery to hold a ‘Lancashire tapas’ event.
Accrington and Rossendale College has joined forces with Moorhouse’s Brewery to deliver a special gourmet evening.
Accross and Burnley brewery Moorhouses are to hold the event with catering students and lecturers in Accrington’s Globe Centre.
The menu will marry local food with the perfect beer to compliment it from Moorhouse’s range of beers.
Chef Lecturer, Lee Hyatt said: “We’re proud of this area and the local produce we use and Moorhouse’s Brewery is one of the great local Lancashire businesses who produce a world class range of products.
“Working with a company with the history and heritage of Moorhouse’s Brewery is an exciting prospect and one the students are looking forward to enormously.
“This is a fantastic partnership which is going to give diners an evening to remember.”
The menu for the evening will include potted Morcambe Bay shrimp, tiny cheese and pickle barms, mini rag pudding, Garstang Blue croquettas and Eccles cakes.
