CLUB bosses are debating whether a new half-time pie delivery system has ‘pasty’ test at Turf Moor.

Clarets catering officials teamed up with PreoDay to trial a new online ordering service in the upper tier of the James Hargreaves stand for the Yeovil game.

Once supporters have downloaded an app, they can place and pay for their order of Holland’s pies, pasties and sausage rolls for half-time.

And then at the break, instead of queuing up, fans can turn up at a collection point, show a collection code and walk away with their choice.

The app, for Android or i-Phones, was made available for a limited download from Apple or Google Play online stores.

A PreoDay spokesman said: “Dubbed the ‘i-Pie app’ by the club’s marketing office, the app is designed to increase food and drink sales, and reduce queues.”

The club is understood to be considering whether to roll out the app to other sections of the ground.

Another idea under consideration may be whether pies and other snacks can be delivered to individual seats.
