Around 100 pigeons died in a fire at allotments in Nelson last night.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in Manor Street, Nelson, at about 11.30pm yesterday.
Four pigeon lofts were destroyed in the blaze, as well as a shed containing three ducks, three hens and one cockerel.
