THE hot weather is expected to continue for the foreseeable future with temperatures of 25 degrees predicted right up until the beginning of next week.
East Lancashire sunlovers can look forward to another weekend of barbecues and sunbathing and forecasters have predicted that next week could be even hotter, with the mercury rising as high as 30 degrees.
Local people have been turning to some unusual methods to beat the heat, with some putting pillows in the freezer before going to bed, and others taking lessons from the Indian subcontinent by eating curry to keep cool.
