TWO budding writers will have work published in prestigious anthologies.
Chloe Flynn and Rachael Rowbottom, who attend Thomas Whitham Sixth Form in Burnley, have both been shortlisted in creative writing competitions.
Year 12 student Chloe entered the Young Writers Around the World in 80 Words contest, while year 13 student Rachael, who has won a place at Glasgow University to read English literature from September, has made it through to the finals for the AQA Creative Writing Prize.
Teacher Janine Swarbrick said: “We strongly encourage our pupils to contribute to the creative and artistic opportunities.”
