AN inquest has been opened into the death of Brian Whittaker, a retired sales representative of Portland Road, Langho.
Mr Whittaker, who had a history of kidney disease and a urinary infection, was admitted to Royal Blackburn Hospital after a fall three weeks ago and couldn’t move his shoulder.
While in hospital, he developed urosepsis and pneumonia and died in the critical care unit on Saturday.
The inquest was adjourned until a full hearing on September 11.
