A TEA party saw a care home open its doors to the public.
Hope House Nursing Home in Clayton-le-Moors hosted the Victorian tea party with mayor Judith Addison as guest of honour. Manager Catherine Henney said they organised the party as part of National Care Home Open Day on Friday, adding: “We held the tea party to show the community around and what we do here.
“It’s very important that residents still feel included with the community and vice versa.
“After the tea party I hope our neighbours feel comfortable enough to join us for a cup of tea more often.”
