PLANS have been submitted to construct an outdoor games area, green gym and youth shelter in Whalley.
The development, which has been proposed by the Whalley QE2 Trust and has been sent to Ribble Valley Borough Council, would be built on the playing fields in Mitton Road.
The youth centre has been planned to be big enough to provide seating for 15 young people and all three sections will be built alongside each other.
The area at the side of the cricket ground is currently vacant.
It is due to be debated at a future meeting of the borough council’s planning committee.
