CHAMPAGNE and canapes came to Shuttleworth as some of East Lancashire’s lovely ladies turned out for an Ascot Day style fundraiser.
The Fisherman’s Retreat laid on the bubbly and a five-course luncheon as part of its homage to perhaps racing’s most stylish date.
And alongside the televised ‘races’ and a raffle for Bury Hospice there was also a prize on offer from organisers for the ‘best dressed filly’.
