MOUNTAIN rescue volunteers were on duty during a fell race across Darwen’s Moors.
Bolton Mountain Rescue team provided support to the Aggies Staircase Fell Race on Thursday. Rescue volunteers provided Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulances plus a Crewbus Ambulance, for the event organised by Darwen Dashers Running Club.
Team leader Garry Rhodes said: “Our participation was controlled from our brand new incident control vehicle and in constant liaison with team member Martin Banks at the event Start and Finish in Darwen.
“Thankfully it passed very quickly and thankfully without incident.
“The team is very happy to be invited to support our valued friends in Darwen Dashers Running Club”.
