POLICE discovered a £20,000 cannabis factory ‘just in time’ before the drugs were released onto the streets of Burnley.
Officers raided a house in Stafford Street and found 50 mature plants growing in the upstairs bedrooms.
Daneshouse and Stoneyholme neighbourhood police team took action after receiving an anonymous tip off.
PCSO Peter Haworth said: “We got there just in time.
“The plants were about to be harvested and sold on the streets of Burnley.
“We are always thankful to members of the public for coming forward with information.
“I urge people to continue to call us if they are concerned about drugs in their community.”
