A mother-of-four was injured when she banged her head during an assault by her partner, a court heard.
Burnley Magistrates were told Adeel Akram, grabbed the victim’s arm and shouted at her.
She did not think Akram, who then called her a bitch and walked out of the house, had intended to hurt her.
Akram, 28, whose solicitor claimed the victim had gone at the defendant and the incident was a one-off, admitted common assault on April 10. Akram, of East Hill Street, Barnoldswick, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay a £15 victim surcharge.
John Rusius, for Akram, said the complainant had drunk a litre and a half of vodka and sworn at his parents, which he did not like. She had been hit out and he pushed her away.
