A GROT spot has been cleaned up after residents flagged up the issue to councillors.
Milnshaw ward councillors in Accrington said neighbours had asked them to remove crumbling structures and clean up the former garage site on Livingstone Road. Coun Paul Cox said both he and Coun Clare Pritchard had arranged for the site to cleared completely.
He said: “Myself and Coun Pritchard take part in regular ward walkabouts which allow local residents the chance to talk to us.
“They told us buildings were in a poor state of repair, with many residents concerned over the safety of the site. Over many months we worked hard to have the area cleaned, which has been finally achieved. It was really good to see the area returned to a good standard.”
