CRIME writer Bill Kitson, the creator of popular Detective Inspector Nash, will talk about his Yorkshire-based series in his talk, Killing Time, at Blackburn Library on Wednesday, June 12, from 2pm.

Fictitious Mike Nash had been a rising star in the Metropolitan Police, but after a particularly gruesome case involving a sadistic serial killer, he turned down the chance of promotion and returned to his native Yorkshire.

He hoped that returning to his roots would bring peace of mind. He was right, to an extent, but although the pace of life is slower, the crimes proved no less horrific.

Bill Kitson has built a loyal readership eagerly waiting for the next instalment in Mike Nash’s career.

Admission costs £1 and tickets are available from Blackburn Library, or pay on the door.
