SUPPORT for a teenage girl is flooding in after she shaved her head for charity.
Libby Shepherd, 13, from Oswaldtwistle, collected more than £2,000 for East Lancashire Hospice after being inspired by popstar Jessie J.
The Mount Carmel High School pupil took the plunge in memory of her grandfather after seeing Jessie do the same to raise money for Comic Relief. Now, her locks have been donated to the Little Princess charity to make wigs for ill youngsters who have lost their hair.
Concerned about Libby sacrificing her long hair, mum Joanne agreed only on the condition her daughter raised at least £1,000.
Donations are still comeing in through Libby’s Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/teams/shaveashep
