Mumps warning to East Lancashire parents as 19 are hit by virus

First published in News

PARENTS are being urged to make sure their children are vaccinated against mumps after a spate of cases.

There have been 19 confirmed cases of the infectious illness in East Lancashire since September 2012 and schools including Shuttleworth College, Padiham, are now encouraging mums and dads to check that their youngsters have had the recommended two MMR vaccines.

Bob Wakefield, headteacher at the Burnley Road College, told parents in a newsletter there had been “several cases” at the school.

He said: “We have been advised by the school nurse to ask parents and carers to check with their GPs if their child has been given the MMR immunisation in order to prevent the spread of this unpleasant virus both within college and the local community.”

The usual symptoms of mumps are a painful inflammation and swelling of the salivary glands under one or both sides of the jaw, fever and headache.

On rare occasions complications of mumps can cause inflammation of the pancreas, viral meningitis and inflamed and swollen testicles in men and ovaries in women.

Mumps can also cause deafness and very rarely it can be fatal.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust said: “Due to recent outbreaks in some areas of Lancashire we are encouraging parents to ensure that their children are up to date with their MMR vaccinations.”

Dr Nigel Calvert, from the Cumbria and Lancashire Public Health England Centre, added: “Mumps is always a risk in secondary schools, universities and further education colleges because it spreads easily amongst teenagers and young adults who missed out on the protection of two doses of MMR vaccine when they were children. We are encouraging people who aren’t sure if they were fully vaccinated as children to check with their GPs and arrange to be immunised if necessary.”

Anyone who suspects they may have mumps should contact their doctor or by call NHS Direct on 0845 4647.

Following on from the measles epidemic in Swansea, which has now caused its first death, another consequence of the MMR hoax a decade ago.

Based on a fiddled study on just 12 children, it was claimed there was a link between the MMR vaccine and autism. This directly contradicted findings in much larger studies which point was made repeatedly by medical experts.

But this required the media to print boring things like evidence and statistics rather than spreading alarm and panic. So the truth was deluged under a torrent of half-truths, lies and anecdotal evidence.

Now, at best, lots of children are suffering from unpleasant diseases which are easily preventable. And some will suffer lifelong medical conditions as a result. And some may die.

I used to work in the medical setting for over 15 years. I was worried when parents didn't want to have their children vaccinated. Only when I personally looked into the vaccines did I realise I was wrong.
Today's vaccines not only contain live versions of the diseases you DO NOT WANT, but also contain GMOs, hormones from infected cows, pigs, chickens and monkeys, untested virus combinations (like H1N1), aluminum, mercury, emulsifiers, and crossbred bacteria from animals, mosquitoes, and diseased humans.
For example: Fluoride is actually toxic waste from the aluminium, phosphoric acid and phosphate fertilizer industries. Millions of tons of fluoride are produced each year. We are the filter system. Fluoride is a main ingredient in antidepressants and other drugs. It is used to dumb us down and is doing a great job.Check yourself.

The first question is: are the kids who now attracd measles or mumps, fully vaccinated? I suppose so. Nowadays you see those outbreaks in FULLY VACCINATED kids. And there is a strange explanation that highschool kids and university students are at risk. If you get the harmless mumps naturally at a young age you are never at risk anymore. The saem for measles that used to be considered a rather harmless childhood disease before the vaccin came with it's hypes. The fact that these almost always fully vaccinated kids are at risk at a higher, more dangerous age is because the vaccinations failed to do what they promised to do. At the same time vaccination are not without any risk. A lot of good research is done in this field, but always ignored. Mr. Wakefield was just one of many, a lot of similar research is done with the same outcome. Let Wakefield explain what exactly he found and what exactly he advised: he advised all vaccinations apart, he didn't advise to stop it. But the Britisch government immediately decided to withdraw the mono-vaccins, leaving concerned parents without any choice but to take a not well investigated multi-vaccin suspected of horrible side-effects. Who is evil-doing here?

It is easy to read up on the side effects of vaccines. I would encourage people to do so from a neutral source - wikipedia is quite easy if you have access to the internet. You can read a description of what is in the vaccines there. Neither measles nor mumps vaccines have any measurable side effects.

These were not harmless childhood diseases. one person in a thousand who catches measles dies. In countries which are too poor to vaccinate their populations against measles, hundreds of thousands of people die from measles every year. We forget because immunisation has made us safe.

But people vary and therefore the vaccine does not work equally for everyone and for some people does not work at all. But if over 90% of the population is immunised, that doesn't matter as the disease cannot spread. So those people for whom the vaccine does not work are protected by everyone else.
