Green flag for Darwen's pedal car grand prix

THE date has been set for the fourth annual Darwen Pedal Car Grand Prix. The successful event, which sees teams take part in a two-hour relay around a town centre circuit, will be on Sunday, July 21.
Former councillor Phil Jones, who devised the original concept, has pledged his support and will once again help with organisation.
More teams are urged to build their own cars, as only a limited number will be provided by the town council.
