VOLUNTARY organisations in East Lancashire who are in contact with adult carers will have the opportunity to apply for a small grant to help fund their work.
The county council’s carers’ team is inviting voluntary, community. and faith sector groups, to find out more about the grants at a special event on Wednesday, January 30.
Organisations who attend will learn how to bid for the grants, which range from £2,000 to £15,000.
The total budget available is £130,000.
Coun Mike Calvert, cabinet member for adult and community services, said: “This is a great opportunity for voluntary organisations to develop new projects that support carers.
“Applicants will need to show that their proposed activity, or project, will have direct, and long-lasting, benefit for carers in their area.”
The event will take place at 2pm, in the main conference room at East Cliff County Offices, Preston.
