A DARWEN primary school which had been told it ‘requires improvement’ is making strides great strides forward to improving the school to a ‘good’ rating.
On a recent Ofsted monitoring visit, inspectors met senior leaders and governors at Darwen St Peter’s CE Primary in Turncroft Road.
Inspectors said the school had responded with suitable urgency and taken immediate action on issues highlighted in previous reports.
The school is not in special measures and Ofsted will continue to monitor the school until its next section 5 inspection.
Head Michele Tracey said: “We are continuing to improve, and we always are.
The inspectors noted that the staff work very hard for the children at the school.”
