WITNESSES to a road crash in which two men died are being urged to come forward.
Police are reappealing for witnesses following the tragic incident in Wilpshire.
The collision on Whalley New Road saw 35-year-old Robert Carson from Blackburn, die shortly after being admitted to hospital.
A second driver, Zolillur Rahman from the Rawtenstall area, died in hospital five days later. The incident happened at around 10.30pm Sunday November 11 close to the Bull’s Head public house and the Wilpshire Hotel.
The incident involved a Vauxhall Corsa in a collision with a Ford Focus.
PC Paul Cornall said, “As a result of further investigation, we believe that a lady driving an Audi between Wilpshire and Blackburn stopped at the scene of the accident.
“She may have vital information to assist in our investigation so I would urge her to come forward.
“I would appeal to anyone else who may have been in the area to contact police.”
