POLICE are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a 16 year old boy missing from his home in Leyland.

Anthony Stubbs, who attends Wellfield High, was last seen at his home on Leyland Lane around 1pm on Sunday. He intended to go to his mother’s address at nearby Southbrook Road but never arrived.

Police are concerned for his welfare and are appealing to anybody with any information about his whereabouts to contact them.

Inspector Jane Hogan from Leyland Police said: “Anthony is vulnerable due to his age and both police and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare. He has never been missing before so I’d urge people to be vigilant and to contact us if they have seen him since Sunday or know where he could be.

“I would also appeal directly with Anthony to get in touch and to let us know he is okay.”

Anthony is slim, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, with short light-brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with a blue and black jacket and light brown boots.

He has family in the Bolton area and also connections to Manchester.

Anyone with any information about his whereabouts should call Lancashire Police on 101.
