A CHILDREN’S charity is appealing for volunteers to help with its festive fundraising events.
Child Action Northwest, which is based in Wilpshire, needs helpers to sell ice-cream, programmes and raffle tickets and serve tea and coffee and mince pies at its three Christmas celebrations this December, all at St Mary’s Centre, Clitheroe.
They are pantomime Dick Whittington and His Cat on December 8 featuring Melissa Walton from Hollyoaks, The Founder’s Day Concert on December 14 and the Flint Street Nativity on December 16. Harriet Roberts, Child Action Northwest’s community partnerships manager said: “Even if you can only help with one shift we would appreciate your support.
“This is a great opportunity to see some lovely shows which will really get you in the Christmas spirit.
“All the money we raise will go directly to support the work we do with families in crisis on our own doorstep.”
If you would like to help, call 01254 244700.
