DANCE and R&B pioneers Soul II Soul have been announced as the Sunday night headliners for this year’s Ramsbottom Festival.

The group who shot to fame with the single Back to Life will close the festival in style on Sunday, September 21.

Led by DJ Jazzie B, the group is currently celebrating its 25th year in the industry and to date has sold over 10 million albums worldwide They join an impressive line-up which sees festival favourites The Levellers headlining on the opening Friday night and British Sea Power topping the bill on Saturday night.

Three more names have also been added to the bill with The Tapestry and Berlin Berlin, who play on the Friday night and Thugs on Wolves appearing on Saturday.

Other acts already confirmed include the Neville Staple Band, Jimi Goodwin, Cara Dillon and Admiral Fallow.
